My path into software development has not been a straight one. Some unexpected turns eventually brought me to the right people, the right opportunities, and to the work I do today.
Before joining Donkey Mobile, I worked as a developer on a planning platform. At Donkey Mobile, I work on products including Kerkdienstgemist.nl, building new features, solving technical problems, and making existing systems more reliable.
What I value most is seeing that technology can make a real difference at the right moment. When someone can stay connected to an important service or event because our software works, code becomes more than just a technical solution.
Before becoming a developer, I also worked as a teacher, and today I volunteer with Ukrainian children in the Netherlands. Those experiences taught me a lot about patience, trust, and connection — values I also bring into my work.
For me, good software is not only about clean code. It is about understanding who depends on it and building something they can trust when it matters.
